My DS is 17 mths old and for the past one mth i have been getting him to pee at bathtime. Now he understands when the pee is coming and does it himself. Also, he comes and asks for a diaper change when he poops. I have a few questions and would apprecate your replies.

Is he ready for potty training?
He is still short to pee in the big toilet and does not like to sit in his potty chair yet. What should i do to make him pee in the big potty or his little potty chair?

I dont want to loose this oppurtunity to get him potty trained but i dont know what i should do? I am a first time mom

Thanks in advance

you can try training him, but don't force him, if he does not want to yet. I would try sitting him on the big potty or you can try putting cheerios in the water of the small potty and try letting him aim for it. I tried all the techniques with my dd, but nothing worked accept, letting her pick out underwear and that is what she worw, no pullups, nothing, she trained in 2 days. good luck
