Hi, i have posted about this before but i am still looking for some answers. i am having trouble with my current pill (Microgynon 30) as i have been bleeding whilst i still have 3 or 4 active pills in the packet for the last 3 cycles.this bleeding lasts the duration of the time i am supposed to have my withdrawl bleed too, therefore meaning i am bleeding for about 11 days a month.
can anyone tell me the names of any pills with higher doseage hormones that might stop this? or has anyone had a similar experience and what did they do? any help would be appreciated. would maybe the patch or the injection help with this? it is getting me down as every month is the same. thank you in advance for any help.

I had luck with regular Ortho Tricyclen. The low estrogen version gave me irregular periods. I also had great regularity with the Patch. I was on the depo injection, but that does not give you regular periods. The first two months I bled on and off. Then I actually stopped having my periods with the exception of some spotting around the time of my next shot.. so stay away from that if you are looking for regular periods. My problem is I have issues with estrogen so I've been on numerous pills so far.

Hi! One the posters mentioned the higher dosages and she's right. When I've taken different pills, for example Ovcon-35, I had early bleeding and break through bleeding. My OB switched me to a higher dosage, Ovcon-50 and it helped with the issue. (the first time I was on it) In fact I'm now having problems with the Ovcon-50 and she is switching me to Ovral-28 because it still has the higher dose of estrogen but has a different progestin so may eleviate the bleeding. Gotta love it when your body doesn't like being forcefuly regulated. :D
Good luck, and don't be afraid/embarrassed to ask for what you want to fix otherwise you'll just have more/continued troubles.

Thank you for your help and advice. I have an appointment with my doctor a week next Wednesday and I am keeping a note of all my troubles so I can get this sorted out (hopefully!) Thanks again. :)
