Good afternoon!

I was hoping I could get anyones feedback or knowledge on complications with birth control, namely bleeding. First, a little history....

I've been on BC since I was 14 and now am 29. I've been through around 10+ types of BC because of various side affects. Now, I'm on Ovcon-50 (2nd time...this time for 5 months) and it is giving me all kinds of bleeding issues. I don't have a noticeable period the first month or two, then I start 2 weeks before I'm supposed to. This last time, I'd been spotting daily for 16 days before end of pill run and when my period should have officially started, it stopped 2 days later. After that week of fake pills and 2 days into new pack, I started again.

I wonder if this is finally my body telling me it's time to take a break from pills? As the last two kinds have had similar issues, just through in some mean cramps to boot. I read a web posting yesterday from a doc, that said that going off the pill for 3-6 months then starting again could be beneficial to help find if you have a real issue, or if your body just needs to reset it self. Does anyone here, have experience with this? I'm getting really tired of all the bleeding/cramps all the time and I know its putting a damper on my fiance/and I's sex life. Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks!
