Lovey- I'm so sorry to hear about what your little one has been through. I would change doctors for one if you're not happy, but I'd also suggest going to the doctor ASAP, you don't want to wind up in the hospital with the baby again due to dehydration.

A stomach virus can last up to 7 - 10 days unfortunately. I'm sure you're feeling frustrated and annoyed, but that diet suggested by the Dr. is pretty much what you'll find from most Drs.

When my baby was on day 6 and nothing was working, we then took her off ALL dairy and switched to soy formula (even double check the ones that are soy you want to be sure they are completely dairy free). Do the soy formula for 7 days (even if baby seems better by day 2), then switch back to all your regular stuff. If you're also feeding solids make sure they are all dairy free as well. I'm not a huge fan of pedialyte, I think it tastes icky and doesn't ever seem to work for my kids. I'd rather go with diluted clear juice or flat sprite.

Stomach bugs are so easily caught and spread among children. Your daycare should have procedures and precautions in place to alleviate this as much as possible (even an in home care situation). I would take a close at that environment since you seem to have this twice in just a few months.

Hope she's better soon.
