So my doctor called and left a message (I couldn't get to the phone in time) - said it was "very good news," and "all the tests came back negative." He said to come back in 6 months for another pap. So, this is good, right?

But I'm curious what that means exactly as far as HPV - does this mean I testged negative for that too? And this means there's a good chance that my next pap could be normal? I've tried calling his office but so far no one has gotten back to me.

you might want to call your doctor though and specifically ask these questions. Did your doctor run an HPV test? If so ask the doc what the results were. Ask the doc if there was any dsyplasia for example CIN I. Most of the time dr's just monitor CIN I and have you check back in six months for a re-pap. Hope this helps
