Dear all

I am looking some advice here.
Last year, since March until June, without apparent symptoms except gum bleeding when I brushed my teeth, I had several blood clotting test with abnormal results, especially Prothrombin Activity was low and PT-INR sometimes slightly high.

However, no problem was diagnosed, and the hematologist only said I am healthy, the abnormal probably only caused by technical error. No problem until this week.

Almost one year without any problem, this week, I am quite tired, and somehow at both my feet I find several bruises.

I went to the doctor this morning, and he did blood test, again the PT INR is high (1.3) and prothrombin activity slightly low (60%).

He is an internist,he said it is impossible that I have Leukemia or Liver problem since all values are normal for those panel, and he said perhaps I have platelet function disorder, but he is not sure and refer me to hematologist tommorrow.

My mother and my son sometimes have bruises when they were tired. However, for me it is first time.

I had read about platelet function disorder from the benign until the deadly one. I am 28 years old male.

If anyone has advice which can make me feel better, please let me know.
Thank you in advance.

I have been tested today by hematologist at different hospital and the result came back totally normal. Thak's God.

About the bruises, the hematologist refered me to dermatologist and the diagnosis is erythema nodosum, one common skin lession which appears similar with bruises.

I wish my experience will be useful.
Thank you all.
