I have been experiencing the following symptoms: headaches, lightheaded and dizzy, nausea at times, stomach issues, cant gain muscle and feel real week at times, cant concentrate, muscle aches, agitated, no motivation, chills, throat irritaion. Life doesnt make scence anymore. Depression. I have these weird periods when all of a sudden its like l have something change in my body and l dont get whats going on and l get real scared. I loosed touch with Reality, this usually lasts for only a few seconds or minutes but after l feel different for weeks and sometimes months. I become a totally different person. My Doctor thought it could be anxiety and gave me Buspar but after taking just one pill l felt real weird and worse so l stopped taking it. Does anybody have any ideas on what this could be and how l fix it. It has totally taken over my life and l feel everyday is tough to just make it through and that there is no future. I know what it feels like to be normal and this is not normal please help.

Well those are all anxiety symptoms I have felt every one of those is Buspar the only med you have tried? You might want to ask about a different med and valium or benzo's taken in low doses work great for alot of people

to van
you should insist on a proper checkup from doc
it amy be anxiety and depression, buspar is a poor tranquilliser, any valium type med would help lots more

Thanks for you input, my question is can all these symptoms be coming from Anxiety, l am not sure whats going on with me. If these symptoms are from Anxiety then why would l react to Buspar and feel worse the Buspar should have helped me no.

Well not all med will work the same for everyone sometimes they wont work at all for some or make them feel worse. If you have had testing to rule out other things and your doctor believes it to be anxiety then I would ask about a different med to try there are alot of meds for anxiety and yes all those symptoms could be anxiety

If it is Anxiety what drug would you recommend that l ask for, which works the best, with the least side effects?
Alos if it is Anxiety how currable is this condition, can you lead a normal life with proper treatment, because the way my life is right now l dont know if l can keep living like this, the mental stuff is killing me.

yes you can lead a normal life there is therapy ....self help books...meds and more for help.I cant say for sure which med would work best for you and most do have some side effects but for me Lexapro (anti depressant)worked well and the only side effect I had was slight lightheadedness off and on for the first week. Also colonazepam (generic klonopin) which is a benzodiazepine worked good for me these are usualy given along with an anti depressant depends on your doctor some dont like to prescribe them there is xanax (valium) ativan and others just so many these are the ones that worked very well for me as long as I took them regulary I was pretty much anxiety free but talk to your doctor about different meds he/she can tell you better then me and it can be like trial and error finding the best ones for someone.I would ask about therapy as well

good luck to you

Hi van...anxiety can come and go throughout your life. Some periods of anxiety can be very difficult and when that has happened to me, I've gone to the doctor. I take Xanax when my anxiety is very troubling. I do consider that my life is fairly normal, so there is hope. Perhaps you could benefit from seeing a therapist, but I recommend reading up on self-help for anxiety. You can search the internet for books on anxiety. I've been troubled by anxiety for many years, but I'm now at a point where I can usually comfort myself with deep breathing and I take medication when I need to. Stick with us...you'll figure out how to help yourself too. :)

By the way, Buspar made me feel weird too...perhaps a different anxiety med would be better for you.

Thanks for your replies it helps out knowing that others understand. I thought initially my problem may have been the Thyroid but the Thyroid Meds made me worse also. Thats when the doctor said it could be anxiety. I have had so many blood tests done, MRI's, CAT scans and all kinds of other stuff. I have spent thousands of dollars and everything comes back normal. A few things that come back some what not normal are my testosterone levels are low and my cotisol levels are on the low end. Can Anxiety cause this, l thought that when you had anxiety your cortisol levels were way elevated. The doctor told me that l have stressed my Adrenals out and they are running on the low end. Can Anxiety cause low cortisol and testosterone?

I also notice that when l eat l sometimes feel like l dont digest my food and l get extremely tired like l have to lay down and take a nap, pains in my stomach and real bad gas. Its almost like my digestion stops or slows way down. I mentally get real foggy.
Does anxiety have anything to do with this

hi van, i suffer the same as you do and yes it does sound like anxiety.i have bad reactions to most meds only if i read the side effects?i agree with tnmomofive ask for another med, its your money so make the best of your visit and be sure to tell him everything just as your telling us.i tend to dwell on any symptom my body has and that tends to magnify the little ache from a 2 on a 1-10 to a 10.like ive stated in the past ive spent thousands upon thousands trying to find a physical illness or a disease thats causing me to feel like this.by experience get several opinions from doctors and if all the test have been done and they conclude its anxiety, leave it at that and treat it or if not you will go for years chasing your tail, loosing money and making the anxiety worse as i have.best wishes hyper79.

Hyper 79 thanks for your reply, how are you doing now, is your anxiety better and if so how are you dealing with it, drugs therapy?
What did the doctors think it was origionally, they thought it was my thyroid or adreanals at first for me.

Hi, I've been suffering with this vibration type feeling for about 3 years on and off but mainly on. On top of that i've developed terrible headaches that can last 1/2 of the month, these headaches feel like head pressure, scalp pain and just a weird not normal headache feeling. It feels like when I move my head around the inside of my brain all moves around and vibrates, almost like a zap feeling. Very hard to describe but doctors have put it all down to depression/anxiety. I don't actually feel depressed, i'm pretty satisfied with my lot in life, i'm married with a gorgeous 5 year old daughter so i'm not sure if this diagnosis is correct. The feeling I get does cause me anxiety but I don't feel that the feeling itself is anxiety.

Does ANYONE out there feel these terrible HEAD symptoms? If so could you describe how your head feels and if you get this vibration feeling? I even get all these feelings without the headache. It's sooooo annoying. When I feel that bad I take 1/2 a valium, seems to help a little.

Thanks

Bells000-
Is the vibration feeling just in your head or your entire body? Mine is in my chest mostly and the rest of my body. It just feels so weird, I don't even know how to explain it. It's like being shocked with a taser gun or something, even though I have never had that happen to me and have no idea how it feels, because this feeling ISN'T pain, it's just weird. I've never heard anyone else mention having that feeling.

Cloverdaze: Yes It's JUST in my head, its so weird, it's always something different I feel, but when I feel the vibration it's always my head, say if I move my head then it's like it shakes inside or like a vibrating feeling? I also sometimes get scalp pain with this which drives me mad! A way I can describe that feeling is like getting a hammer and hitting a metal pipe and then it vibrates, well my head feels sore on top as if i've been hit with a hammer and it has that vibrational feeling! Weird heh? Do you get this? or does anyone?
