Hello all
We are going on holiday soon and near where we are staying there are some great bike trails. We'd love to cycle and take DD with us. Does anyone have an experience of taking a baby on a bike? She is seven 1/2 months old. Is this too young? Would I be able to get a helmet to fit her? Is it better to use a trailer or a seat on the bike? I don't want to damage her back or neck by taking her out before she is ready. But she has been able to hold her head up since she was about six weeks and has been sitting well since she was 5 months old.
Any advice or comments would be much appreciated.

I can't give you too much advise but I myself am thinking about taking DS with DH and I when the weather is nicer. DS will be a year old then. The seat we are thinking about getting him, I saw in the One Step Ahead mgazine. It goes in front of the person riding the bike and has a sheild that mounts to the front of the bike (like a windsheild) to protect baby's face. The part I like about it is that it goes in the front. This way you always have on eye on the baby. Plus it gives baby a great view.
