How much is one serving of salmon? I read somewhere that one serving is the size of a deck of cards, but then I read somewhere else that one serving is the size of an eyeglass case. I just ate a piece the size of an eyeglass case, so I'm hoping that is the correct answer - haha. But then again, I don't think it would be the end of the world if I ate too much salmon. It's pretty much a perfect food, in my opinion!

LS,
With a food scale you can eliminate the guesstimates.

I prefer to just use guesstimates b/c I do not have a food scale and don't want to become too obsessed with weighing all of my food. I was just curious what a normal-sized portion would be? A checkbook is another good analogy...is that a good size?

Ls, instead of second guessing it, why dont you jsut accept that you ate a good size, because you clearly didn't OVEReat, so there is no problem any way you go. There is no 'magic' portion size for anything, it's all up the person. Yes there are rough guides that people should strive for, but healthy, normal people don't think about that necessarily, and they just eat to hunger.

Salmon is so good and has so few calories, I usually just eat it until it's gone. :) I don't think there is a set serving size. At restaurants, I've found the portions vary so much.
