Sometimes when Jamie sleeps (she is 4 weeks old), she will wake up crying for about 10 seconds or so, and then fall right back to sleep as if nothing happened. Is this a sign of gas or something else? Corinne doesn't seem to do it (at least not that I've noticed)... so I'm just wondering if it's normal and why she does it?

My DD is 7 weeks old and still does this. I think she does it when she has gas or when a noise startles her. She usually falls right back to sleep, but if she starts flailing her arms she wakes up so I try to keep her swaddled.

My DS does this as well. Only at nite though it seems when every little peep he makes wakes me up. He'll be sleeping fine then maybe 2 seconds of crying, then back to dead asleep.

ds is 17 days old and does this too i like to think he is having a dream hopefully a good one. :)

My DS is 5 months old and is still doing that. Just a quick cry and then right back asleep. I think its dreams.

My dd is fixing to be 6 mos and she still does it on occasion. I read in a baby magazine that it's normal and it happens for a while.

DS is 17mths old and does that too.
