I was around 8 weeks pp when mine came.

I have never heard any one say it was bad, or would be bad.....Mine was like my normal ones.

I'm breastfeeding and I got my first period when ds was 5mos. It was like a normal one for me..had the cramps and bloating and arghh i could do without!! :)

I don't bf and mine was around 12-13 weeks and it was as bad as I had heard and then some. The first two were completely HORRIBLE. *sorry* to the ones waiting for them but it's true and I am used to bad periods my whole life but nothing like this. I still have some problems that I didn't have before like severe cramps to the point of puking and I have to walk around with a heating pad stuffed in my pants. lol TMI! I am not sure if mine have been so bad because I had a tubal or if that's the norm.

I'm just over 7 months PP and still waiting, I'm not sure if it's the breastfeeding or the pill that is keeping old Aunt Flow away. But if it's like it was for my dd, I won't get it until after I wean completely...I did have some spotting for a couple days at about 3 months but that was my fault...I forgot to take a pill one night. I'm on the mini pill (Micronor)

I'm breastfeeding and at 7 1/2 months I'm still waiting. Strangely enough I'm actually hoping it won't be too much longer because we'd like to start trying for another baby in a few months!!!

Funny you should just ask that, as my first started this morning. I am 8 months post-partum. I breastfeed, but for the last 2 months, only twice a day. I was hoping that would be enough to hold it off a little longer! So far I have been pretty crampy, but not excruciating. We'll see how the day goes :)

Spanish, doesn't time fly...it seems like we all just had our babies, and now it is almost time to start thinking about the next. Yikes!

Mine took about 8 weeks to show up and it was brutal! It was every bit as bad as the bleeding I had in the hospital when I had him if not worse and it went on for 5 days! IMO stock up on equipment just in case. I thought I had lots but after a few days with 5 changes an hour I ran out and had to get my mom to get me more. This is embarrasing.... but the one day I even went and used some of DS's newborn diapers because the pads were not working at all. Yup, it can be really bad.

We are breastfeeding, I got my fist depo shot 6 weeks post and a week later I started (DS almost 2 months) with the depo I quess it was more like spotting for two weeks then nothing till a week before the next depo was due (DS was 4 months) I started spotting then a week later a big AF. Got the shot, then within a couple days it stopped.

Well I am still waiting, ds will be 2 mnths on Tuesday, I am not breastfeeding, was unable too I waited too long, however I am now 8 weeks PP and still no af, and no breat feeding :confused:

Val I am the same... had a csection and no AF - I am 8 weeks Post on Monday. I don't want to get mine - really... I have had SO much discharge and such that I am now a little more normal and not looking forward to dealing with AF.

I need the damn belly fat to go away. LOL

Discharge you mean the lochia after baby? or CM? Cause I have had alot of CM for the last week

I am 9 months PP stopped Bfeeding last month and still no AF. I am not complaining though. I went on the pill in hopes to keep it away a little longer.

Val - I feel so silly .. what is CM? LOL! what I have is ALOT of clear no odor discharge when I wipe... its SO strange... been like this for a few weeks now....

4 months postpartum here and still no AF. I just recently started losing my hair, I guess from the pregnancy hormones going down? Has anybody noticed losing their hair right before getting AF? I just figure the hormones are the reason we don't get our periods after giving birth. FYI, I am also breastfeeding.

Cervical mucus, I have had alot of this too

roxy losing your hair os normal, but it has nothing to do with AF coming, after my first baby I lost a ton of hair in clumps it seemed like, anyhow it goew back but my hair has never been as thick as it was before kids though

OMG...talking about mucous/discharge!!! I never had mucous/discharge before I had this baby. I never even had it during pregnancy. Now...there's a lot. That's all I can say.

I got my first at 5 months PP. I breastfed exclusively until then, I had started some solids a couple weeks before. It was short and lighter than usual. Before I always had killer cramps and diarrhea, but not the first or second since the baby. I am awaiting the third.

I'm 4 mos pp. I spotted last month and got the Depo shot. I'm concerned that may have been a mistake because this month I've been spotting every day for 3 weeks straight!

Sorry if this is TMI.... I had a super plus tampon a nighttime pad and still woke up at 3am changing sheets. I was on the pill too isn't that supposed to help?

wow that sounds crazy I still have not gottne mine and I dont even bf so it should be soon
