View Full Version : Dilantin and Osteopenia

I have been on Dilantin for 25 years and only recently learned about the calcium issue. I just received the results from my bone density test and was told that I have osteopenia of the spine (-1.5). Apparently, if the reading is
-2.5 you have osteoporosis. I am almost 50 years old.

I am now doing to research to see if I should take Fosamax or Actonel? Does anyone else take one of the medications? I am wary of all the side effects.

Thanks!
