Hi All,
I havent posted in a LONG time but something has been bothering me and need some info BEFORE i call my doctor. Well long story short, a year ago they though I had lymphoma...had all the classic symptoms, turns out in the end I ended up having mono and very bad. Anyhow, due to either a childhood trauma, scaring from the mono or a possible lymphoma that is dormant, my spleen is damaged. It is showing lesions that have not grown, but are still present at each CT scan that ive had (which are three in total thus far). Anyhow, its been over 1 year and I still get night sweats where I am awakened in the middle of the night and need to take of my top. Also Im so sleepy all the time and try to sleep as much as i can (when not working) and recently have been having alot of aches and pains. My legs will ache and my groin area I have so much pain sometimes that I cant walk properly. As far as I can tell there are no lymph node swelling. I even showed the family doctor a few months ago and he said there is nothing there. MY question is though....when i turn my head to the left or move it hurts.....there is a lump or swollen gland there...that will only be felt when i put pressure on my tongue to the floor of my mouth....and then this lump pops out abit and I can feel it. It is sore and tender. Its moveable (almost clicks when I move it). Nonetheless, it is sore and i cant rest my head on that side because when the pillow touches it it is uncomfortable.

As I said earlier, I did have mono about a year ago, diagnoses through a biopsy from a lymph node removed from the other side of my neck. The biopsy came back with mono and Epstein Barr Virus. But that was a year ag. I went back to work after 4 months of rest are recuperation.

My question...what the heck is going on here with this other node? It hurts, I have the exact same symptoms as I did last year (minus the weight loss) in fact ive gained alot of wieght and just wondering if this could possibly lymphoma as they say that once you get Mono your chances of developing lymphoma are higher. I feel like crap and Im unbelievably scared.

Can anyone give me some info PLEASE? I would so appreciate it.

If you were treated with antibiotics for the mono, you may have a secondary infection that started after the antibiotics were done. This can lead to Chronic fatigue Syndrome, leaky gut syndrome and a lot of other very debilitating symptoms that aggravate physicians, and really annoy patients. See your doctor about the suggested new biopsy. But, try not to focus on the lymph node until you have a new diagnosis.

Thank you...I'm just worried as heck...and so tired it's killing me. And everytime i move my head to the left it squeezes the node and its sore!! I guess this brings back all the old fears that happened over a year ago..I'm scared that it's lymphoma! Sorry for being a pain...i'm just being honest and I need to vent...I cant with family..they will get scared as well. Thank you to ALL of you!
