I've been taking Aciphex now for almost 6 weeks and I'm having all kinds of weird dreams and dreams every night. Does anyone else notice that they are having dreams that could be attributed to a PPI? It's not very restful.

taape 03-26-2006, 09:13 PM I've been taking Aciphex now for almost 6 weeks and I'm having all kinds of weird dreams and dreams every night. KJHChemist 03-27-2006, 12:01 PM I don't know about being able to attribute the dreams to the medication. It seems that many people who suffer from GERD are under a lot of stress. Stress would definately cause some weird dreams. When my Acupuncturist was taking my history regarding anxiety, one of the questions she asked me was if I was having strange, vivid dreams. -Karen viblakah 03-27-2006, 09:29 PM I also take Aciphex and have the craziest of dreams. I wake up every night and it takes an hour or two to fall back to sleep, then the crazy dreams start. Does anyone else have problems sleeping throughout the night? My PCP gave me a script for sleeping pills which completely zonked me out (too much!) So I'm back to the waking up and crazy dreams again until I get my script switched. I'm really not all that crazy about taking sleeping pills, but after months of not sleeping through the night I'm ready to give anything a try. I have LPR and I'm curious to know about other's sleeping patterns. Thanks! Lori taape 03-27-2006, 11:15 PM I just look in the PDR for Aciphex and there are about 100 possible side effects. One of these is ABNORMAL DREAMS. This is one side effect I'd like to get rid of. It happens even if I take a short nap. taape 03-31-2006, 01:33 AM How can a stomach medication cause weird dreams, it's not like it's a narcotic or a drug that alters your thinking? |
