Before i post this i want to let you know that i am in no way an expert at this. But i have had a cousin that was taking about 15-20 a day. He was really bad off, he was combing them w/ painkillers and had severe w/d's after he stopped. But w/ you taking about 3 a day, i woulda assume that you wouldnt have much w/d's if you went Cold Turkey. The reason why i say that is b/c i know from my own experience and my cousins as well, you get so immune to somas that you have to increase your intake somewhat the next day to get the high. I was in your same boat, taking that or Xanax everynight to help me sleep. But i never really increased my dosage, however, when i stopped it was really hard for me to get some sleep, especially initially falling asleep. Again, this is coming from someone who is not qualified, and if i may add, a current addict(for the record, i'm improving, so i know you can do this as well) but i'm sure someone will come on here who has had experiences and help you more.

I used to take Soma. I really could not function well on them. I instantly felt very loopy and cannot imagine taking 15-20 a day. Strange though that I could take that many Norco's and not think a thing about it!!! I could not talk taking Soma - like I was intensely drunk.

Do not know about withdrawals - I was in the throes of Hydro at the time I was taking the Soma. I did take Soma occasionally after I stopped the Hydro's. I think I was trying to seek out the high that the Hydros gave me but the Soma's just made me loopy and very tired.

Well that is all I know about that (Forest Gump)!!!!! ;)

I have been clean and sober for 12 years HOWEVER my doctor had put me on Soma about four months ago, and as other's had mentioned I started needing more and more to help with my pain levels. I never felt high off of them, not in the least as many say they do.

I went to the pain management forum and asked about this drug and immediately I was told :nono: , especially given my history, so I stopped c/t the very next day. I did not notice any withdrawals symptoms whatsoever however after withdrawing from alcohol, xanax. ativian and hydro/oxy's I'm assuming any withdraw I might have had was unrecognizable to me seeing I ALMOST KILLED MYSELF going c/t from all the above.

Actually, I'm sitting here rethnking this and the very first time I took the soma (two as prescribed) I did get a bit loopy but it was not something I was very fond of.

Anyhow, since getting off of the Soma I have researched it and read horror stories so I'm glad I was set straight on the pain management forum (even though some suggested I was a junkie  ).

Good luck.

Yea, when my cousin was taking these, his mom(my aunt) was somewhat aware and looked some info on the net about soma and said that its one of the most addictive pills out there.
