Hello I was just wondering what antidepressant everyone is taking for axniety with or without depression? Also to how much has it helped you?

I am also curious as to who takes what combination of meds and dosages with the side effects for anxiety and depression...I am seeing my new primary care doctor on Monday and would like to go in with an open mind and maybe a few suggestions of what might work. I know everyone is different, each dosage will be different and every doctor is different but I am really curious.

yes im curious too. i dont any a/ds any anymore, after having my baby. but because im starting to feel worse again, i just wonder what could take the edge off the anxiety?

I started this post but I took Paxil cr 25mg for anxiety it worked good but.. When I read it was the worst anti to withdraw from I guess it was better to do it sonner then later! Which it wasn't bad for me but the shockes in my body headaches and stuff. Now I'am taking lexapro 10mg daily sure does help me sleep better. I also use to get pain in my shoulder,knees,wrist,Within 4 days the pain is gone pretty much. The only thing it makes me sleepy much I think will go away with time . I'am also taking it for stress it is helping alot. I'am not so snappy at my family more patince and claimer some. Lest bitchy. Lexapro is working great sofar. The side affects well some sick feeling thats it. With paxil wow it was alot worst them lex.

I am taking Remeron (Mirtazapine) as well as Klonopin (Clonazapem) 0.5mg for anxiety.

I started taking 10 mg lexapro about a month ago. It treats anxiety and depression. I noticed a difference within a few days. Now it's even better. The only side effect I had was feeling sleepy too much of the day. That seems to be decreasing the longer I'm on it.

For years I was on amiltriptyline (elavil) for depression. It's a very old one, but a good one. I'm still taking it, also. It's a tricyclic. I'm glad I found someone else who has recently started lexapro.

Connie...is your doctor going to eventually have you discontinue the Elavil, or will you continue to take both AD's together? Did the Elavil stop working for you?

what are the symptoms that have been relieved by being on anti-dep?

lightheadedness, dizziness, spaciness, off balance feelings relieved?

I currently take 150mg Sertraline and 40mg Propranolol 3 times a day.
