So I told myself I wouldn't have unprotected sex again, but I got caught up with the statistics and realised that if I took the pill correctly, that I would have less of a change of becoming pregnant if I weren't on the pill, and only using condoms.

I decided not to worry and went ahead with unprotected sex, as naive people do. But I'm four days into my sugar pills. Last time I got my period at four am on the fifth day, heading into the sixth. But it was my first month, so I thought that was my body getting used to it and next month would be normal.

I've taken all the pills, in the same time, never more than 15 mins early or late. I was stressed, so began looking up pregnancy symptoms because I'd been having headaches/migraines.

I seem to have a lot of symptoms, but I don't know whether I'm just letting it get to me.

* Nausea (but not in the mornings)
* Tender + Enlarged breasts
* Change in vision
* More frequent headaches and migraines
* More frequent urination.

I don't know how I'd be pregnant, because I was really loyal with taking it.

What is my chance?
I know I might be worrying about nothing, but it's much easier to have someone more superior, older and wiser to tell me so.

Hope to hear from someone soon. xx

:rolleyes: Question for you:
Have you EVER had an abortion?
I will tell you that it is NO FUN! :eek: :eek: :rolleyes:
IF you keep going thru the unprotected sex, there are many things that can happen.....
A. STD'S
B. HIV(AIDS)
C.Hepatitis C and other things as well.
D.Pregnancy...
and go to your doctor and ask for some more interesting things
that could happen....because you just might never know, unless you
know ahead of time.

It's your body...I can't say what you should do ..but, I would only suggest...to read, and ask,and learn as much as possible..regarding your body and your life!

Ha, no, never had an abortion. And I think that's one of my biggest fears atm. I'm known for my conscience, so as you can imagine, those two don't go well together.

My boyfriend has never had sex with anyone else, so I am not really at a risk of catching too much. Unless he cheats.. which isn't gonna happen.

It's hard, unprotected sex seems so much more intimate, do you get that?

Abstinence (I can't spell) is the best way to go.

by unprotected, you mean just using the pill as birth control right?

i know alot of people who are in loyal, long term relationships just use the pill and nothing else, after all it is designed to stop you getting pregnant and if you trust that both you and your partner are faithful and have no STI's, then why not? personally, i am such a worrier that i use condoms and the pill with my boyfriend, but i have had "unprotected" sex (ie with the pill but nothing else) and i know what you are feeling. even the slightest little thing makes you think you are pregnant. it seems that if you took the pill correctly and never missed one, the symptoms you have are because your period is on its way. as you only started the pill last month, it takes a while for your body to get used to the hormones. im sure you will be ok, but if you think it will be a cause for concern, use condoms too.
i hope this helps, let us know how you get on!

I don't know why people still use condoms if their on the pill and in a monogomous relationship. The pill is designed to protect you from getting pregnant by itself. I'm guessing it's just a psychological thing. Like people can't see how exactly the pill is protecting you, so you use a condom for like visual reassurance.

yeah, there is less than one in 100 women who get pregnant on the pill

but around five out of 100 who fall pregnant when using condoms.

I understand what you mean about the visual protection. I've talked to my friends and my mum (who's a nurse) she says the only reason it's not called 100% protective because of human error (ie, missing pills, etc).

It's hard, it's as soon as your periods over, you're worrying and waiting for it to come, just for that relief. I'm appreciative that people have replied, so thank you.

Apparently the pill has the symptoms of pregnancy, so perhaps I should just sit back and relax. I took it right, I did what I was asked to do.

I still have three sugar pills left.

*fingers crossed*

love xx
