For over 4 years i have had joint pain and mouth sores, the doctor has tested me for lupus but the test came up negative. 2 months ago developed a new problem which is my fingers are numb on just 1 hand when ever i go out into the cold weather, when i come back inside it takes 2 hours of warming them back up to get them not numb. I would love to go to a rhemy but my MD has not suggested this and is still trying to help me. After 4 years of MD trying to help me i am tired of not getting any help from him, my md does not know of this new problem with my numb hands, can anyone suggest anything to help me? thanks so much!!

There are two types of blood work for ANA (antinuclear antibodies) one is the cheap test and one is an in depth test. I would see if they ran the indepth test. Your hands being numb is probably Raynauds Phenomenon. If you still don't have any results I would get a second opinion from another dr.
