hello everyone. im sarah, and its my mum who has low blood pressure. it was caused by recurring anemia, which she has had for over two years.
she takes high dosage iron tablets, her anemia goes and then she feels absolutely tired out all the time(she can get up at 9 am and be back in bed for 8pm), and then her anemia returns again. it has been this cycle for the past two years (which is upsetting for me and our family to see, as she used to be really really active) and her doctor just seems to be letting this happen.
her doctor told her its low blood pressure, but hasnt advised on what to do. i just wondered if there is any reason for this blood pressure, and if there is any thing she could do to try and help? anything at all??

any replies will really be appreciated.

thankyou
sarahxxx

Hi Sarah,

I'm afraid I don't have any advice for you, I'm actually on finding out about the exact same thing!! Most people (esp those with high blood pressure) go on about how low bp is a good thing and nothing to worry about, but I get "head rushes" all the time and faint regularly. I hate the sapced out feeling I get all the time and get so disoriented. Several docs have mentioned it, but no-one has ever been able to give me any advice. I was told that at my age (21) it's not safe to give me meds to up it, it'll prob sort itself out at some point. Doesn't help me now though!! I have also been told that LBP is almost as bad as HBP so theres another reason to sort it.

Anyway, I'm really just replying to "bump" this post in the hope that someone reading it can give us both some advice
