Hello,
I'm not too sure where to post this but if you anyone could help me, that would be fantastic. I eat breakfast around 6:30 every morning and then go running at about 8:30 for a half an hour. What should I eat for breakfast that isn't too heavy but is still healthy and big enough to give me the energy I need for my run and for the rest of the day?

Thanks! :)

I have been a runner for quite sometime and I generally eat different things.
You want to make sure you are getting protein and carbs. Protein helps rebuild the muscle and carbs are metabolised for energy. Having said that, you can eat a peanut butter sandwich (wheat bread), oatmeal w/ a banana, or even a protein bar w/ some carbs. You don't want to eat too much, or else you will have cramps. Also, be sure to drink enough water to hydrate yourself.

What are you eatting before hand? Do you generally wait 2 hours to run?

Yep, i usually always wait 2 hours before I run. Right now I eat a small bowl of oatmeal which I don't think it enough...thanks for the tips!

I see you eat oatmeal so add some whey protein powder in it and a teaspoon of olive oil and you have a lite complete meal..By the way protein powders have lots of flavors to choose from....dutch chocolate , cookies and creame, chocolate chip mint, strawberry mint etc...
