I just got back from the gyno who put me on Alesse. I have had SEVERAL problems with several bc pills and the patch. The patch gave me severe headaches, so i had to swith. I was off the patch for only like 45 days and my boobs went down a whole cup size! Will they go back to how they were now that i am on bc again? Also, will mood swings come back like they did with the other pills although i didn't have them with the patch? Any other advice or experiences????

I was on Alesse and physically felt fine..no bloating or weight gain, acne didnt get worse (but it also didn't improve either)..etc. However because Alesse was so low hormone, I had major breakthrough bleeding (as in my periods started early and ended later than they should've, and they were heavy all the way through- a 10 day period!!). Because of this I got my doc to switch it and now I'm on Diane 35.

i hated alesse. when i first started i wanted to literally kill everyone...lol.. that lasted for a few months but i was still very moody around "that time".
ANDmy acne got worse....which made me want to kill everyone..lol.
And DONT MISS A PILL!!! I take my pill at 10pm.. well one night i forgot and took it at 7am the next morning.. well 2 days later i got a period that lasted 2 weeks! ( a week from missing the pill and a week for my regular period)
I hated it... so im on yasmin now. only 3 weeks in so i have no idea how it'll be. My moods are a little better though :bouncing:

ALesse caused my acne problem. I hate that pill. My skin is still not the same.

I've been on Alesse for a little more than a year now and I really like it. I was on the shot for about a year before I went on the pill and it made me have really big mood swings. Once I got on this low hormone pill I felt like I was finally myself again. It did make my boobs grow about a cup size, and I only gained a little weight (about 5 lbs). I never had any break through bleeding or spotting, and it didnt worsen my complexion. I really like Alesse but I know everyone has different experiences with pills so I just wanted to share mine :)
