Going into 2nd week of Lexapro and can actually say I see some light. I'm still having some crying spells but its working better on me then the Zoloft.

How Weird Zoloft saved me 8 years ago and this time kind of made things worst. Goes to show how all these drugs work different on all of us even on the same person at different times. Lexapro has made a big difference this time.
Kind of nervous since I'm starting a new job next week. Saw a new psycologist last week and she actually told my new salary was no good( actually said ******). Not seeing her again. Its so hard to find someone good out there. Has anyone else had this problem finding a psycologist?

Rox,

Your (ex)psychologist said your salary s*cked??? The nerve!!! It's a whole lot better than the amount of money she'll be getting from you from now on. What a dweebe. How about calling up the Psychological Association in your area and reporting her? And meanwhile also asking them for a referral. People also always say to ask your friends for their recommendations too, but I don't know anyone (of my friends) that admits to seeing a therapist besides me, you know? If there is maybe a type of therapy that sounds like it would be a good fit for you, then you might search for a national website and then therapists in your area through a website like that. You can also call potential therapists and talk to them on the phone and get an idea from that as well. They'll talk/interview for a bit that way for no charge, I believe. Good luck, on the therapy and work.

Hi

Mac is 100% correct on the psycologist. What a bad name she gives her profession. It's a shame she set psycologist's back a few years because some are excellent.

I'm on lexapro, also. I started on 10 mgs about a month ago. It still makes me a little sleepy. Has it made you feel that way?? That's the only trouble I've had with it. I like the way it makes me feel. I feel like myself, just more able to handle stress and situations.

I wish you luck and a healthy life. Take Care......Connie

Thank you for all the replys. I can't say how horrible I felt after she made that comment. I forgot why I was there for a minute, I was in shock. If anyone lives in Miami and knows of anyone they can recomend I would appreciate it.

Thanks again

I think there might be a specific board that you can ask for names of professionals,......maybe......the...... research board, or ....I'm not sure.
