View Full Version : Having a bad day

After a few not so bad days, having a corker today. So thought I'd vent on here. Woke up crying and being sick. It's my Mum's birthday today which doesn't help - I feel like such a crap daughter.

Had my first session of CBT yesterday, which went okay, more of an assessment than anything else. Got another session on Friday where apparently she'll start to 'open the wound'. Will keep you informed anyway. My therapist was really nice and didn't make me feel like a nutter which was good.

All I seem to be able to do is watch telly, probably because it takes no effort. Today I could walk and have a sunbed to make myself look less like a ghost, sort some paperwork, have a shower. Anything - but I end up doing nothing. Aggghhh!

Thanks for listening. :(

Sorry its been a crappy day for you .When I have one of those " I could do a bunch of things" day, I find it easier to just pick one for today and let the rest go .I usually end up doing more than one but if not at least i got one done and i dont feel so bad.

better days ahead Mizzy

My therapist always told me that on my "bad days" I should force myself to go outside and do anything. He used going to the mall and window shopping as an example. He said not to actually buy something because that teaches you to associate spending money with feeling better. Its just the act of forcing yourself to do something.

I've tried this, and sometimes it works. Wont say it always does though.
When I have the time I like to go hiking in a cliff area we have in Ohio known as Hocking Hills.

Perhaps something outdoors would help?
