hi all
my mother works in a mental care home and today she pricked her finger accidentally with a discarged syringe. I know there is probably nothing to worry about but the hospital has taken some blood from her for testing Hepaitis but they did not mention they were testing for HIV. She has to have another blood sample taken next month then the month after and then in 12 months. Do you know why this would be? and do you know of any risks.
