I have psychotic depression and have just been taken off zoloft (which didn't have any effect) and put on 30mgs of remeron. This is the fourth AD I've tried and I'm hoping it will have spome effect. Has anyone else here tried it? And if so, with what results?

I've never taken it but my mother did...it was excellent. She had been addicted to Valium and what she really needed was an AD but she had steadfastly refused. We finally got her off the Valium (damned nightmare) and the doc gave her this. A marked difference in jsut a few days. Good luck. Hope it helps you as it did her.

I take Remeron, along with a bunch of others. It is ok, apparently it helps with sleep. I have been taking 60mg for the last four months or so, There is a weight gain side effect as well. Sorry this is so scrambled it has been one of those days

Hey there,

My doctor tried me on Remeron, but it made me so drowsy the next day, I could not stay on it. Also, I wanted to eat everything in sight which I believe is the weight gain side effect of it.
