Hi there,
I had my tubed tied in July and since then I have been having some problems. I have my period every 2 weeks. I was pretty normal before the surgery and I was not on any birth control to regulate it then either. I also have abnormal bowel movements and pain in my lower abdomen on the right side. My doctor seems to think that there is nothing wrong with having my period every weeks. I was just wondering if anyone could offer some advice.
Thanks,
Charandray

You may be suffering from Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome, I just had my tubal ligation 4 months ago and have over 35 symptoms since then. I'm stuck at what to do at this point :( Been to SO many doctors I lost count, even got a tubal reversal in hoping this will stop what's happening to me. Don't know if this will ever end for me.
I have hot flashes,
back pains
body hair loss
memory loss
panic attacks
nail destrophy
throwing up and runs when ovulating
thinner skin
wrinkles (A LOT)
brain fog
bleeding a lot
joint pain
pain during sex
my cervix is even dropping big time
I'm loaded with cysts
having trouble shedding my uterin lining
I can go on and on, but I get sick at reading what I'm going through and no doctor will admit to PTLS, but many women are suffering from it :(

I just had my tubes tied on October 9, 2007. It's not bad at all. On the discharge papers, it says that you can drive 48 hours after surgery. I have a small incision under my naval. I have about 4 or 5 stitches. I had my surgery at 7:00 am and I was home by 9:30 am. The day of the surgery, I was tired and slept alot but the next day i was up and moving around with minimal pain. Other than some slight gassy problems, I felt fine. Today, Oct. 14, 2007, I feel still a little gassy. I was on the depo. shot before i decided to tie my tubes. I recieved my last depo. shot in Sept. 2007. Haven't gotten my menstrual cycle back yet but i will let everyone know how it goes when i do. So far...No problems at all.

i also had tubes tied in february of 2006 and it was the biggest mistake of my life. i never felt the same afterwards. started having anxiety, panic and depression since then. had all the ptls symtoms went to so many dr's no one would ever say yeah it is from the surgery but it was so obvious it was. then in january of 2007 had them reversed. still have anxiety and panic but all the pains in my abdomen, like the electocution pains in my ovary is gone. it was worth getting reversed. i have heard so many other stories just like mine but did not start hearing them till after i ahd tubes tied. glad i reversed though. worth the $8,000.
