i finally got my pills changed (had many problems with them) and the ones i will now be on are ortho-cyclen. i was just wondering if anyone has been on it, and whether or not they had any problems, including weight gain/loss.

I have been on and off it for 5 years or more.
I first went on when I was about 16 or so to help with cramping and to see if it improved my complexion.
Then I went off it and back on probably when I was about 18 or 19.
I don't think I have had any side effects. As for weight gain, yes, I have gained some weight since then, but I think it just has to do with the 5 years since i've been on it not becuase of the pill.

I just started taking Ortho-Tricyclen Lo back in late February. I was happy that it helped my moods, but right now it's driving me nuts. I'm tired all the time and it's affecting my sleep pattern. My acne hasn't changed much and I haven't gained any weight. But my first cycle on Tricyclen Lo gave me horrible cramps (I usually don't get any) and Af lasted 12 days. I go back to my doc April 6. I'm probably going to switch to a different kind again. Good luck.
