Is it normal for a ovary to grow?
I had a pelvic ulta sound in Oct. of 05

PELVIC U/S 10/7/05
right ovary measures 1.5 x 3.2 x 1.3
left ovary measures 1.4 x 2.3 x 1.2 cm
right ovarian cyst measures 1.4 cm
free fluid in pelvic
retroversed uterus with possible fibroid in the fundas.

PELVIC U/S 3/3/06
the uterus appears to be of normal size with consistancy.
free fluid in cul-de-sac.
left ovary measures about 2 x 1.1 x1.1 cm.
there is a cyst in the left ovary that measures 1.2 x 0.8 x 0.75 cm
the right ovary measures about 2.8 x 1.5 x 1.6 cm
3 mm calcification in pelvic

is it normal for the ovary to grow? if not what are the risk of them growing and what causes it?

i had a CT scan done last week
there does appear to be a round low attentuation area (2 cm) which represents a adnexal cyst.
there is apparent enhancement within the cystic structure and this may represent a divertucla
3 mm calcification, and possibly a vascular calcification.

what is divertucla, and vascular calcification, what are the risk?

any info would be appreciated. thanks
