It's 4:30 am. Just had a round of coughing, lots of phlegm, little bit of blood, but man, it hurts SO bad. Mom's getting me more ice chips, plus filling my ice bag for the outside of my neck. I'm so scared. It's not alot of blood, but I haven't had pain like this before in my life. It's now very early Saturday morning...had surgery around 1pm on Thursday.

I never would have believed it hurt so badly either if i didn't have it done myself.
don't go crazy with the coughing up phlegm. I mean, a little is okay, but try to gargle ice water and swallow.
just get some rest. Take some pain meds. Wait a half hour. Drink as much as you possibly can (to avoid bleeding/dehydration), and sleep.
good luck. don't be scared ;)

Thanks....Mom stayed up with me most of the night. Had an icebag on my neck & she fed me ice chips to keep me hydrated. Still hurts like hell, but I did get some sleep.

Swish some cooking oil in your mouth for twenty minutes. One tea spoon. Three times a day before meals. Keep it constantly swishing.

After one round, it cleared up my throat and I could swallow easier.

Here, read this. I can't explain it why... but oil swishing is a miracle and you won't believe what it can do, or why. http://loaves-n-fishes.com/oilswish.htm
