Hello, I am a 19 year old female and over the last 3 months i noticed an increase in size where my adam's apple is. You could see it poking through the neck like a man's and i have never had a pronounced adam's apple before. It is sensitive to the touch and sometimes when i swallow it seems to get in the way and feel sharp. it isnt like a lump, it is actually that my adam's apple is just swollen, i guess. I saw my GP and he gave me a CT scan of the neck with contrast, but it didn't see any abnormalities. It is really bothering me... Should i see an ENT and have a scope done? Any idea of what this could be.. i know i did a poor job describing but it is very strange.

Did your Dr. do any blood tests? I suspect you could have a thyroid
problem.
