View Full Version : Drinking to manage my problem

I don't know if anyone else has this or maybe I am just a freak.I have had anxiety attacks eversince I was very young which I think is attributed to me being very shy when I was young.Well now it is full blown and I can't even have a relationship because of it.I am also scared to death of going to work and having to stay in one place for any length of time.My problem is that for really no reason I will sweat all the time but if someone gets or sits too close to me I sweat out of anxiety of the closeness of a person. If someone touches me I sweat even more all over and dread shaking hands with people. When I am in the proximity of people they start to sniffle and all end up sneezing.I try not to wear any perfume but I have to wear deodorant or I will stink after awhile. The only way it doesn't happen is when I take a pill (CLONAZEPAM) which I don't like to take very often as it makes me sleepy and my Doctor doesn't recommend me taking it too often or when in social stuations after work and on weekends I drink so people don't sniffle and sneeze. I drink 2-3 glasses a wine a day after work to destress and maybe I have so many toxins in me and it is adding to the problem.I find I can't stop drinking for anything more than a 4-5 days cause the stress of living everyday like this is too much and it is the only thing that helps.I have spoken to my Doctor and friends and they all think it is in my head.Help please anyone else out there? Is this what anyone else has that is an alcoholic? :o
