Hello, the last few days in the morning i check my BS and its perfect 90's to low 100's, ill be running late not eat, about 1-2 hours later i can feel my BS is high. How can this be if im not eatting...im worried. also if its high in the morning i'll take alittle insulin and not eat, check it 1-2 hours later and its higher with taking insulin. i feel the only way i will get better is if i go on the pump but dont see that happening anytime soon.

Do you have a set amount of insulin that you take and a sliding scale for meals? Taking a "little" insulin for a high might not be enough for the high. It's also very hard to dose based on how high you "feel" your blood sugar is. Your liver stores sugar all of the time. It releases it at regular intervals which is why people who are insulin dependant take a long lasting insulin. The glucose that is put out in your system is called a basal rate. The glucose from what you eat is called a bolus rate.
Information is power when it comes to diabetes. The more you know about what you body is doing naturally, the better you can control things. You might want to make an appt with your Endocrinologist and have him help you come up with a plan that works. Good luck

I wouldn't go by how you "feel". My husband has come home from a work a few times and says, "I think my sugar is really high, I've been urinating a lot and I just feel like it is!" He'll take it and it'll be 107 or something! So don't go by that at all.
