Well, I posted under "fell bad er visit" so those who read this may be redundant. I went to opthamologist who dx me with ON. He said that it is a precurser to ms and is faxing my neuro a letter stating that it is not migraine related. See my neuro keeps saying all of my symtoms are migraine related sincew all my tests came back normal. I just don't see how your limbs going numb for days, memory loss, vision problems, balnce problems, severe fatige, muscle spasms & twitches, muscle weakness, etc. can just be migraines. I have an appt. Fri. to get the results from the last MRI and maybe I'll know more. I'm just so tired of being told to take a pill and relax that nothing is wrong. I know my body & something is not right.

Alicia, perhaps your neuro should take a chill-pill and spend 15 minutes surfing the web regarding ON. If things don't change, get a new neuro.

Hi Alicia,
About two and a half years ago, I began having severe migraines. This past year, they became unresponsive to any of the migraine meds I tried. My first MRI this past November showed just a few spots, and the doc said it could be from the migraines. I also had numbness in my left side, hearing loss in my left ear, trouble with my balance - including a bad fall with my baby. I knew something more was wrong with me - I can totally relate to what you are saying. I developed Optic Neuritis the end of February, and had a week of IV Steroids. At the same time, my doc ordered another MRI. Just three months after my first MRI, the number of lesions have tripled. My C-spine MRI also shows lesions. Do not give up. The first year and a half of this, I would have laughed if someone told me I had MS. Over this past year, it's been too obvious to deny. I had to change docs a couple of times, so make sure you take charge of your care if you are not getting the answers you need. Hang in there.
