My husband was told a couple years ago, that when things got worse (ie..kidneys failing) he wouldnt need as many meds for his diabetes, nor heart meds because his kidneys would not filtering them as well. Does anyone else know about this or know where to research it? thanks,, wife of diabetic

Certain medications might be decreased as they can build up in the body and become toxic. Since the kidneys filter waste, they also filter our medications. If they can't filter the meds properly, the buildup can be dangerous.
You can do a google search on the subject. You might also want to go to the Amercian Diabetic Association website and see if they have any info about it. Good luck
