I have been on Prozac capsules many years. My doc
believes in daily dosing, he isn't too keen on Prozac
Weekly, just for people who forget to take pills.
I just feel like my Prozac capsules take a long time
to take affect. And then they wear off after 22-26 hours. So every morning, there's a drop-off.

Anti-depressants are not suppose to work like that, they are suppose to build up in the system, so u could even skip one day without harmful effects.. after 3 months of treatment the effect of the drug should last for about a half a year, doesn't mean you can stop taking it though. However I too have noticed there is some effect that seems to wear off after 20+ hours.. However I have not taken the drug long enough and it is still building up in my system. So I don't think my results count at the moment.. Have u spoken to your doctor about this, I mean REALLY talk to the doctor? If it sounds like someone is BS'ing u, they probably are... u may ask your doctor for a second opionon, remeber u pay him to treat u, not to say "take this twice a day" and then the doctor thinks, get out of my office, you r annoying me.. That isn't any kind of doctor who would be worth even calling a doctor..
