View Full Version : After THREE long years of copo's and Paps, my pap is...

Finally NORMAL :bouncing:

I've posted on here before giving my testimony about what I've been through. I've had Mild dysplasia since 2003 of June and it just wouldn't go away. I finally decided to have the cryosurgery over the summer of 2005 and when I went for a follow up pap in Sept. It was Mild again.

I thought to myself, "I will forever be stuck with this pain". Then when I had my follow up pap after my copo... My doctor told me everything returned to NORMAL.

I didn't do anything out of the norm to be exact. I backslided on taking my multi Vitamins and Folic acid everyday, I was around a lot of smokers walking to and from my job, so I thought for sure my pap would progress, and my boyfriend of three years, we don't always use condoms so I knew I could be doomed protecting the cervix while having my condition.

All I have to say is don't give up or think that you'll forever be stuck with the conditions. I know I'll always have HPV for the rest of my life until they come with a cure... But don't give up hope. Even if you’re not in my case where I only had the Mild stage... Just don't give UP!

Thank you thank you thank you. You have given me tons of hope. I had a normal pap 4 months after having cryotherapy but still have mild dislpaysia and will have a follow up in May.

Welcome guys. Ever since I found out about my condition, I've always read information and see that I'm not going through this all by myself.

This board has really helped me beat this.
