Just wondering for those type-2's out there , can insulin supplements (chromium, vanadyl, biotin, essential fats etc) restore normal bllod sugars even if you still eat lots of carbs or is carb restriction about the only thing that works...

The short answer...nope! You need to manage your carbs and exercise. The supplements can help some people moderately, but they will not eliminate the body's insulin resistance.

Insulow (R+ lipoic and Biotin) alone can normalize blood sugar levels and insulin sensitivity.

as far as your question reccomend adjusting diet adding Insulow (R+ and biotin),green tea extract and Sesapure are also good options, as well as doing moderate exercise- even just walking 30-40minutes per day.

I m afraid not ,the only way to lower blood sugar is to diet and limit simple carbs such as white flour rice and potatoes. Losing weight will help with insulin resistance .Stay away from those snake oil ads ( LOL) .There is no medical proof that they work including cinnamon. The best thing is treat your body well.
good luck Mizzy

I'm the LAST person who would say I'm an expert on this, but I respectfully disagree that there are "only" one or two ways to get any problem or disease under control. If limiting carbs and exercising lowers blood sugar levels, there are certainly other things that can help as well. The medical industry in our country would prefer NOT to test some of the more natural methods, because the medical industry is out to make money. I have read in several places that cinnamon and a number of other herbs, vitamins, minerals, and spices help lower/stabilize glucose levels. Of course, I wouldn't take that as meaning that I could eat cinnamon and then eat a McDonald's big mac with fries! The source of so many medicines IS in plants, anyway, so this makes sense.
I'm trying natural methods right now to control my glucose levels. There is one thing that is making a drastic difference, and it goes against everything in the books: I've gone back to what was natural for me my whole life -- not eating breakfast (GASP) -- :nono: Amazingly (or not so amazingly) enough, this is affecting (positively) my readings for the entire day. (I have some of my highest readings normally when I waske up.) Here I've been forcing myself to eat breakfast for a few years now when morning eating was never anything my body wanted to do. That is for ME, though. This disease is so darned individualized...That's one (of a few) things I've learned the hard way.
Anyway, I'll report back as I embark on this journey!
