I think that this has happened to me twice. The first time I was not dreaming but asleep and felt my body vibrating like a seizer, my brain was making a noise like powerlines make. A little while later when I woke up, I was fine. But i remembered. The next time it just became part of my dream where Iwas trembling in fear. This was not observed by anyone, so I don't know if it was all a dream. My brother had gm seizers when he was a baby. And I have a son who had partial seizers that on set during adolescence, but seems to have out grown them. So does this sound familiar to anyone?

Sounds like a good question for the doc- seizures can present in SO many different ways...

Your best bet is to describe the noise/sound/sensation the BEST you can and write it down on paper. Note IF there were or were not other symptoms before, during or after, and approx length.
Not being you, or not being there we can't get inside your head.
Did you note any soreness, bruises, scratches, or aches that may have come from this? (if unsure, look for injuries)
I know if a person does not physically exhibit symptoms, there is no clue. I may know I am having a seizure, but unless I am having the theatrical thrashing of limbs, people will not know unless I have told them I have seizures or am wearing an identifier thats visible.
Follow the first part of my rambling. Write down what you remember. Being mine usually were the same when younger, I didn't need to repeat it to my doc. But I would so they knew the symptoms did not change. Sometimes I would have a "symptom" but the seizure would not onset following the sensation of the symptoms.

Sounds like something to research with the doctor. I ONLY have seizures while sleeping and they are very simliar to what you describe.
I would make a neuro appt ASAP, especially since it seems to run in the family.
