Hi my name is Jeri,

I was dx in March. In Oct of last year I fell at work about 6 times. Thought it was my arthritic knees. I was out 2 weeks recovering. Went back to work then in November fell again. Out 1 more week. Went to orthopaedic dr and he said it was my arthritis and my weight. Ok I have lived with the arthritis for 5 years (wear and tear on knees, plus injury). In december had another fall, have been using a cane during this time. When I fell a coworker was walking behind me and told me what my foot did. foot drop (right leg). My worst arthritis is in my left knee, so I told the ortho that it couldn't be arthritis. Went to my IM dr who listened to me. She sent me to the neurologist in January. Had MRI at the end of jan/beginning of feb. Had to go back because the person that scheduled the mri didn't see the contrast order. Got the mri back and had lesions but he wanted to do an LP.

On March 15 2 days before my LP I was walking to my desk (which is .25 miles from my car, which is in handicapped space), my leg went completely numb and I froze. Went home and cried. When I went to get the LP 2 days later told dr that my right leg was numb. He put me on solomedrol for 5 days and prednisone 22 days.

Today after being off prednisone for 2 days I'm having symtoms again. I'm tired, depressed, and still waiting for the home nurse to call me to teach me how to do the injections.

Sorry so long had to vent and introduce myself.

Jeri,

Welcome,Please vent,it's a great stress releaser,does the body good.
I had the frequent falls last summer, not pleasant.I fell on the neighbor boy 3 different times going down front steps.I felt so bad.
I am not diagnosed.Family Doc is pretty sure it is MS.Just waiting on evoked potential test to come back.At least your neurologist is up to date, mine is an idiot. The falling will subside I never thought it would end.For now it has gotten better.

Prayers to you
Toni
