Hi all!

Has anyone ever heard why a person's white blood count, red blood count, etc., could change from time to time?

In the past 3 years I've had a CBC (complete blood count) done 4 different times for different things, and my counts are always different, but in the normal range - I'm just curious - and a worrier!

thanks!

I read that your wbc can vary as much as 2000 from one day to the next. If they are falling in the norm I wouldn't worry about it. JC

Thanks for the quick reply, electriman!

Do you remember where you read that? Just curious - I will take your advice and not worry about it!

thanks!

I've been going for monthly and sometimes twice monthly blood tests for the past year and I can tell you that my hemoglobin has moved as much as 15 points (from 135 to 120) in just 15 days. Other counts have varied too, but not quite as much. I know for example that a change in WBC can come from a minor infection. When I exercise I notice my hemoglobin tends to increase. As long as your values are consistently within the normal range there's nothing to be concerned about.
