is this Lipid Exchanges by IV only available in the states,im from the uk and my partner has type 1 diabetes and really suffers wth his legs,doctors give him all different medication (tablets) but nothing eem to help him at all,its unbearable for him it was mainly at night but now its beginning to effect him during the daytime too,can anybody please help me or give me some advice

I don't know what "lipid exchanges by IV" is, but if your partner has neuropathy, there is a substance called Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) that has some evidence of working to reverse neuropathy. I've heard the extended release ALA is easier on the stomach, and that you need to take it in doses of 300 mg twice a day (total 600 mg/day). If you search the diabeted board for neuropathy, you can probably find the previous threads on this subject.
