I haven't seen my Neru yet (that's Monday) however, I picked up the MRI and they gave me the report. All appears normal except at the very end, it states: Very small 1 to 2-mm focal area of increased signal on both T1 and T2 weighted images, adjacent to the left facial nerve, just before exiting the stylomastoid foramina, mostly likely small vessel. Geniculate ganglion, semi-circular canals and cochlea appear normal bilaterally. Does this mean the search for my diagnosis continues?

Skipper, probably so. They may order blood tests to see if it is vasculitis. I don't recall your symptoms, but I would hope they keep doing tests.

This may mean your MRI was inconclusive. And you may need more testing. Mine was very easy to see when I had my first MRI. There were many very visible clusters of Leisons. What are your symptoms?

Mainly dizziness/vertigo since July 05, extreme fatigue more so in the afternoon, intolerance to heat (last summer was awful) and weird body aches and pains. Sometimes I'll have a sharp pain headache and I'll think, boy I need to take a few aspirins and then 3 minutes later pain is gone, very strange.
