Hi everyone,
I was dianoised late last year. My Mum lost feeling in her left side and rushed to the hospital, I thought it was a stroke but after MRI's they have said it is MS (she has'nt seen a neuro yet) but while being in hospital she had a LP and it was clear, I was told that a LP gives 100% correct info so what does this mean? I have just been in a relaspe and my doctor fears that with this stress I may relaspe again, any advice would be wonderful! thank you :)

Horsegal,
There are many people with normal lp that have MS.A LP is done to check for MS,but is also done to rule out other diseases. The positive lp for MS is around 70-75 % here in the states according to the Mayo Clinic.
Wishing you and your mom well

Horsegal, Toni is correct, the LP is not 100% to diagnose MS.
You really do need to do whatever you can to stay as calm as possible. High stress can set you back in a big way! Let us know how both of you are doing.

Horsegal, if you google for the MS diet or MS Direct I think you will get some good information. Several folks on this board are having great results from modifying their eating habits.
