Has anyone had their VNS Removed? How did that go for you? Rebecca has had hers turned off for years and we think it is time to have it removed while she is healthy enough to manage the surgery. As she gets older her body is becoming frail so we want to do it soon. It is really "bulging" from her very thin body..............thanks....Paula

No personal experience with this, but I have seen others post about this on other forums.
It can be removed, but usually they leave the wires in. It is difficult to remove those since it would take microsurgery.
I am sorry it did not help her any. I would talk to the neuro surgeon to have it removed, too, I think.
