Hi - Over time I have noticed that when I go to lay down - bend over - or get up quickly, I get this rushing sound in my ears (the sound of what you hear when you put a shell to your ear at the ocean - I guess that's how I'd describe it). It drives me crazy. At night when I go to bed, I can actually hear the beat of my heart through this rushing sound in my ears. What can this be. I beleive it is escpecially bad right now beacuse I am overcoming the flu/cold. But, it's happened before when I didn't have the cold/flu symptoms. Any idea what this is?

Hi. Yes I get that. Its horrible. I have also started to get a sort of pressure feeling in my chest, in fact from my ches up to my ears and nose. Sometimes my neck feels as though its about to explode. I have no idea what it can be.

It's pulsitile tinnitis. I have dealt with this for about a year. Got it with a sinus infection, and it has never really gone away completely. It acts up with colds and congestion, and upon physical exerting myself. Sometimes at night I can hear it too, and it is annoying. I took bactrim for a month for my sinus infection,w hich helped, but it never went away. I'm just kind of living with it
