Does anyone here use this supplement? What do you use it for and is it effective?

A friend of mine suggested it to me to combat fatigue, and I'm just wondering if it's worth the cost,

Thanks In Advance!

Hi Star Heart,

I take the CoQ10 because I've been convinced by research that it's helpful. However I must say that the benefits are subtle ... difficult for me to perceive. Maybe I need a stronger dose, am taking only 50 mg. per day from Costco.

Best wishes.

I am taking 400 mg (no...really) for CFS. I get them from my doctor who deals exclusively in chronic fatigue syndrome, so apparently they do help with fatigue. The low dose ones probably won't help much, though. 50 mg is prob. the lowest you should take.

I take 150 mg a day-
Coenzyme Q10 has been used for heart problems (e.g., heart failure, angina, high blood pressure). This product may prevent damage to the heart caused by certain cancer drugs. This product has also been used for breast cancer, gum disease or muscle problems. It increases cellular energy, and helps fight fatigue. It is an important antioxidant that we produce less of as we age

Thanks! I bought a small bottle today - just 50mgs at the recommended dose of twice a day.

I figure it's worth a try!

Be sure you are taking gel caps, they are absorbed better than the tablet or capsule form :)
