I had my tonsils out four weeks ago today. I'm 51, in very good health, and never, ever thought the recovery would take so long. I'm back to normal, pretty much, but my sense of taste is almost non-existent. I can smell food, and I can taste the first few bites, but then everything tastes awful. I have such a horrible taste in my mouth all the time, I can't stand it. Is anyone else having or had the same problem???? Please tell me I'm not alone!!!

I still can't taste alot of foods and I'm 9 1/2 weeks post op. Hang in there as your taste will slowly return a little at a time. :)
