Hi all -
What a week it has been... long story short, much testing, then biopsy for cancer - thankfully found out today benign. But the dizziness is awful - haven't felt this bad for quite a while. Can I simply attribute it to the stress of going through medical tests and then waiting for results? Also found out I'm anemic - guessing that can stress the body, as well, which would then exacerbate VN symptoms? I feel like a wreck, and am supposed to be leaving for Hawaii on Monday!
Hope everyone else is feeling better and better....
Thanks!

Hi Robin,
SO GLAD that your test results were ok! :bouncing: I did actually know about them as I noticed your name elsewhere, but didn`t like to comment on the other board as I know that it`s a personal thing and I didn`t like to intrude. I`ve been praying for you and hoping that all would be well.
I had a bit of a skin cancer scare last year and the stress certainly made my dizziness worse. After all the worry that you have just been through, it is no wonder that your dizziness is bad at the moment. Also, anaemia can cause dizziness as well. Try to begin to relax again now ( I know it`s not always easy to just switch off after a scare such as the one you had), but hopefully when your stress levels come down again, the dizziness will ease up. :)
Take care now,
//(*_*)\\ Sally xoxo

Hi Robin
Wow, what a load of stress you have gone through...no wonder you are decomped. Now that you have the results and they are good (what a releif that must be, so happy for you), you can begin to refocus on your head. I also think dealing with the anemia will help you to get a handle on the dizzies as this can be a symptom too...getting those tests done may have been a blessing as you have found another issue which when treated may have some positive results for you.
Having just got back from a wonderful holiday, I urge you to do the same. Relax, celebrate your health, and just have fun! (take your iron too)

Thank you, thank you, thank you all for your thoughts!
Yes, Sally, isn't it funny that our lives can become quite an open book on these health boards? I don't mind at all - aren't life experiences to shared? :-))) I have to add, the other "category" that I visited was not nearly as helpful or active as this board is - nobody posts on a regular basis!!! It's nice to be back here, where we all seem to follow each other's lives and somewhat "know" each other, at least from a distance!!! Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers!
Thanks, Subs, for the reassurance about the decomp. I'm feeling "so-so" today, but now have to get my mind off of the medical issues that I've been submerged in for the last 8 days and on to getting ready for the tropics! Do hope it will be enjoyable - a bit apprehensive, as this is my first long flight since being hit so hard with the VN. I'm still remembering your words - that whatever your state was on the ground was pretty much what it was up in the air!
FC - I was SO happy to hear about your wonderful time of skiing, so happy to hear that you did so well and that you were able to so enjoy yourself. I fully intend on doing the same, and will heed your advise to get going on the iron!!!
One thing we here all know for sure - life can turn upside down in just a moment's time! Whether it's an inner ear disorder, cancer, or so many of the other challenges life can bring, how nice it is for me to know that I can share the ups and downs here!!!
Thanks again, everyone!
XOXOXO ~ Robin

Welcome, AbitdizzE!
Thanks for your input! I'm still trying to absorb the "cancer free" part of the surgeon's words to me yesterday! How long had you been dealing with vestibular symptoms when you had your leukemia scare? Let us know a little bit about what brought you "here" - we'd love to hear your story!
