But - I already had dry eyes to begin with so it just made it alot worse. Just hang in there and use really good eyedrops, some of the best are Systane and Refresh Endura. jkm3253 04-20-2006, 01:52 PM Hi and thanks for the encouragment! I feel like the Tuesday after Easter was like night and day from what I have been experiencing,,,,,better by 150%! I think I am on the upswing. I am seeing better, my eyes don't hurt and they're not as dry. I am beginning to think this was all so worth it!!! JKM littlejmb 04-20-2006, 03:24 PM That is great that they are feeling better so soon :bouncing: Even though it took two years for mine to finally feel where my right eye wasn't burning all the time, I still felt like it was worth it. My left eye never did bother me much, it was always the right one. Hopefully you'll stay on the right Track! Jachimo 04-25-2006, 09:35 PM HOpe your eyes are feeling better. I am in week 7 of intralase and I have to say, I am not feeling great at the moment. One eye is good....my right eye is hazy/cloudy. When I put a drop in the eye, it clear up for a few seconds then the clarity goes away. It trouble me, but my Dr. said the more corrective the procedurel, the longer the healing time. I guess that makes sense, but it also makes me very skeptical. How are your eyes progressing? Am I freaking out unnecessarily? jkm3253 04-27-2006, 06:06 PM HI- It's been a long and freaky road so far, I am 2 1/2 months post op and now finally have been feeling somewhat better most of the time. I was extremely myopic and had a big astigmatism, so I tend to agree with your doc, even tho my dr. said it should not matter for how long the healing with the amount of prescrip... but it makes sense to me. I regretted having lasik the first 2 months,,,,drove my husband crazy. It wasn't too bad at first, but the dryness and the fluctuation stinks. Good luck to you,,,try not to worry.....yeah right! I finally now am eating normally again after losing 8 pounds. JKM Jachimo 04-27-2006, 08:21 PM Thank you for your reply. Yeah...I guess the major problem for me is that my eyes are so dry and the vision does get better with the drops...for about 3 seconds., SO I should just start drinking heavinly and forget about it. It's too late anyway. I probably just need to be more patient. tAKE IT EASY. JOHN littlejmb 04-27-2006, 10:25 PM John, What is intralase? (I think that's what you called it). I have never heard of that procedure. If it is different than Lasik - it could very well have a longer healing time. I had Lasik and the day after surgery I was seeing 20/15, but not long afterward my eyes regressed and I was only seeing about 20/40, so we gave it six months to see what would happen and it never got better. My surgeon decided to enhance the right eye and see if we could get away with that. Well, what happened was, I ended up seeing my distance with my right eye and closeup with my left - and it is great! I couldn't have asked for better! Unlike most people that have to wear readers - I don't have to , and that is a blessing! |
