A little about me. I’m 30 and I was diagnosed three years ago after a grand mal. I ‘ve been on 4 medications – Dilantin, Tegretol, Keppra, and Lamictal – in various combinations. I have been on Lamictal alone for over a year and have had great results. No seizures and no side effects! But the last few weeks I have noticed that my memory isn’t as good, I’m not as sharp, and I’m feeling fatigued like I used to with dilantin. I feel like my battery just wears out.
Has anyone had the same thing happen – no problems for awhile and all of a sudden experienced side effects? Is it a phase or maybe just in my head?
Thanks for any comments.

I've had reactions to meds after being on them for years- suddenly, they just didn't work like they had been (was a different type of med, but I know what you're saying). I ended up having to switch to a different medication that worked for about 4 years, then same thing- didn't work anymore, and had to get on another one.... let your doc know- it's not unusual to have even allergic reactions to stuff even after eating things you've always eating, with meds, etc....so why not side effects?
